Your illness keeps recurring in the spate of weeks? Stop blaming your ancestors in the village. Here's what you should know -

    1. DO NOT TAKE YOUR HEALTH ISSUES FOR GRANTED
There's a saying that 'it is the small snakes that eventually grow into the big ones'. In the same way health issues become bigger and life threatening if nothing is done about it. Hope you know that the very 'harmless' cough if left untreated over extended periods could very well degenerate into pneumonia and eventually asthma.

    2. IT MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU THINK IT IS
-One might be getting symptoms such as headache, internal heat. Mind you, these symptoms are generally not limited to a single illness.
A simple fever can be a symptom of malaria , typhoid , allergies , or even an injury.

    3. BROWSING THROUGH GOOGLE FOR POSSIBLE CAUSE OF AILMENT IS NOT ADVISED
It is only natural to want to know whats wrong with thyself. In times if sickness, our body kind of forces us to neglect other activities and seek relief immediately. But trying to get a clue of the illness by searching through Google may even be more confusing. The thousands of forums and articles on your condition may leave you feeling whiplashed with information which usually leads to panic, confusion and No. 4.

    4. SELF PRESCRIPTION IS DANGEROUS
Self proscription based on a 'self imposed' diagnosis is not only wrong but dangerous. It is very common to draw conclusion based on "tests" arrived at from online forums. Common!! even these forums more than often suggest you do number 5.

    5. UNDERGO A PROPER MEDICAL TEST
A proper test will confirm exactly what you will be treating. Go for it. And my concluding words?:
Do not waste time or waste your life by trying to cut corners as regards to your health.

NOTE: You only have one body , so pamper it , treat it when sick , cherish it , and be happy with the one you've got
