I got myself an Etisalat modem (zte MF190A) today after I lost my Airtel Modem, but along the line I decided to use another network SIM card on it but it wouldn’t work. Guess what? It was asking for 16 digit unlocking code which means the modem was LOCKED and only to be used with the default SIM. For a moment I brainstormed and came out with what I call the easiest way to unlock zte M190A modem.

I thought it would make sense for me to share with you specific guide on how to unlock etisalat zte mf190A modem (and use another SIM card) in case you come across such situation.

How to Unlock your Etisalat ZTE Modem
Before anything, remove the SIM card that came with the modem and Insert an alien SIM card (e.g. Airtel, MTN).

    – Download DC Crap Unlocker from this linkhttp://www.mediafire.com/download/y9qmtfvyz6h93zh/Most_DC_Uclocker.rar
    – Plug the modem on your computer and open DC Crap.exe

Now follow me carefully! Under select manufacturer choose “zte datacards”, click on Auto detect and finally click on “Unlock” (see appended photo).

After Unlocking Zte MF190A Modem What Next?
This is where most people fail. Basically, after unlocking any USB modem you have to add a new internet connection settings for the SIM Card you intend to use on the modem. For instance I want to use AIRTEL I need to add airtel internet connection settings. To do this click on settings > connection settings > add (see appended photo)

Click “use the following APN” and enter internet.ng.airtel.com

    Click on Ok/Save.

    MTN
    Config filename: mtn
    Dial number: *99#
Click “Save for Username” and enter web for password and username
Click “use the following APN” and enter web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

    GLO
    Config filename: glo
    Dial number: *99#
Click “Save for Username” and enter flat for password and username
